Many Jewish teens feel anxious or alienated in their high schools or towns because they are one of just a handful of Jewish students there. BCHSJS is a safe, tight-knit community where they can be themselves and talk about their experiences with other teens who understand what they are going through. Our school attracts Jewish teenagers from throughout the region, giving them the chance to make friendships with others they likely wouldn’t meet.
Our philosophy is that Jewish education means learning and doing, which is what takes place within our walls every Sunday morning and outside through our social activities and community service events. BCHSJS gives students a sense of pride and confidence in being Jewish, along with tools to be advocates for Judaism in their community and in the world.
